Here is a list of books that Baggledorf would read should Amazon or W.H.Smiths ever get round to delivering to the forest!

  • The Lorax by Dr Seuss
    • In this fable about the dangers of destroying our forests and woodlands, the long-suffering Lorax struggles to save all the Truffula Trees from the wicked Once-ler’s axe.
  • Karlson on The Roof by Astrid Lindgren
    • Karlson is a short, fat man with a properller in his back and a button on his belly. He flies around and lives on the roof of a Stockholm suburb. In the series, he befriends what was a lonely boy, the youngest of three children. Karlson is a memorable character who takes pranks to the extreme, as well as slapstick humour, gluttony (especially for sweets) and is generally a happy-go-lucky wiseass who describes himself as “a beautiful and pleasingly plump man in his prime”.
  • Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren
    • Pippi is a nine-year-old girl, who lives with a complete lack of adult supervision. She is very unconventional, assertive, rich and extraordinarily strong, being able to lift her horse one-handed without difficulty. She frequently mocks and dupes the adults she does encounter, an attitude likely to appeal to young readers; however, Pippi usually reserves her worst behavior for the most pompous and condescending of adults.
  • The Moomin Books by Tove Jansson
